Frequently Asked Questions
If there’s anything I missed, just reach out.
What kind of photography sessions do you offer?
I specialize in two main types: boudoir sessions and creative portraits for musicians and artists. I cater to people looking for creative art photography, fine art photography, and anything that’s out of the ordinary.
Whether you want to celebrate your body, share your brand, or just capture your vibe in a way that feels real — I’ll deliver creative art photography that reflects who you are and what you’re about.
I’ve never done a photo shoot before. Will you guide me?
Absolutely. You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands; that’s my job. I’ll give you gentle direction, help you feel at ease, and make sure we get photos that feel like you — not stiff, not awkward, just confident and honest.
What should I wear for my shoot?
It depends on the session! We’ll go over wardrobe and prop ideas during your pre-shoot consultation so you feel 100% prepared. But in case you want to start brainstorming now:
Boudoir clients can bring lingerie, bodysuits, sexy sweaters — anything that makes you feel good in your skin.
Artists and musicians can bring their go-to outfit, something bold, as well as their favorite instrument or props.
Do you offer hair and makeup?
Yes! I work with trusted stylists who’ll help you feel your best while keeping your unique look intact.
Hair and makeup can be added to your package when booking (makeup is already included for boudoir sessions).
How do you stand out from other boudoir studios?
There are a few things I do differently:
I don’t stick to a single location. If there’s a place you have in mind — or if you want to shoot somewhere outside of Santa Barbara — I’m flexible.
I don’t have a prescribed “look” for all my shoots. I celebrate all body types, from petite to plus size boudoir models. I tailor the set, props, and planning to your personality. I’m here to tell your story, not plug you into someone else’s vision.
I cater to your taste and personality (not vice versa). Instead of offering the same 2-3 vibes for all clients, I curate sessions that are specifically tailored to you, your taste, and your unique style.
Can I include personal items or meaningful symbols in my shoot?
Yes — in fact, it’s encouraged. I love incorporating personal imagery, textures, and symbols into your final portraits, whether it’s a photo of a place that matters to you, a lyric, or even a piece of your artwork. It adds meaning and turns your portraits into something totally one-of-a-kind.
What’s your editing style?
Think moody, textured, and layered. I don’t just retouch — I build. I’ll enhance your images using custom overlays, creative elements, and editing techniques that add depth and emotion. You can expect real, expressive portraits that feel like art, rather than overly airbrushed, flat edits.

How long until I get my photos?
After our photoshoot, we’ll sit down together to look through your images and highlight your favorites. From there, we’ll decide which photos to use for overlays (these can be from my personal gallery, or you can submit images that are significant to you personally). And finally, I start the editing magic.
The full process usually takes about 4 weeks:
2 weeks for your base photo edits
2 weeks for any overlays and final touches
If you’re working with a tighter deadline, just let me know — I can often accommodate faster turnarounds.
How much does a session cost?
Pricing depends on the type of session, how many images you’d like, and whether you’re adding extras like hair/makeup or customized editing.
In general, boudoir packages start at $1,799, while creative portrait packages start at $1399. Reach out for a personalized quote — I’ll walk you through the options.
Where do the shoots take place?
I shoot in a variety of locations depending on your vision. That could be indoors, outdoors, or at a location that means something to you.
For boudoir, I often use intimate indoor spaces with great natural light. For artists, I’m all about finding spaces that match your style and energy.
Do you travel for shoots?
Absolutely! I love capturing stories in new places and am happy to travel for your shoot. Depending on the location, additional travel fees may apply. Just reach out with your ideas, and we’ll work out the details together.
I’m nervous — what if I don’t like how I look?
You are not alone. I’m here to help you see yourself the way others do: powerful, magnetic, and totally worthy of being celebrated. Your shoot will be tailored to who you are — I won’t be portraying you in any way other than what’s authentic and natural to you.
My goal is for you to leave your shoot feeling bold, beautiful, and seen.
Can I bring a friend to the shoot?
For creative shoots, absolutely — bring a hype buddy if it makes you feel more comfortable! Just choose someone who can keep the energy fun and supportive so we stay focused on your vision.
For boudoir sessions, I’m intentional about creating a private, distraction-free space designed just for you — with nobody else to distract from your experience. This helps you feel fully present and confident in front of the camera.
If inviting someone you trust would help you feel at ease, however, we can chat before your boudoir shoot to find the best way to make your experience great.

Are you different from a professional headshot photographer?
Yes and no! Like headshot photographers, I specialize in portraits of individual subjects — specifically catering to professional musicians, artists, and creatives.
However, I take a different approach than most professional headshot photographers. I don’t put you on a stool in front of a bland backdrop and tell you to smile. Instead, I shoot in a variety of locations and get creative about every element of your session, from style to lighting to angles.
You can expect to walk away with a portrait that shows who you truly are, rather than a headshot that makes you fit the mold.
How do I book a shoot with you?
Simply click here to schedule a free consultation. We’ll chat about your vision, answer any lingering questions, and get your session on the books.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, I do require a non-refundable deposit of at least $300 to hold your date. The remainder will be arranged through a flexible payment plan, based on what works best for you.
My goal is to make this part stress-free so you can focus on the fun stuff.
